Serdang, January 26 - The Sultan Abdul Samad Library (PSAS) has organized Google Workspace and Poster Design Courses. This course aims to provide knowledge to the PSAS community in utilizing the Google Space application and basic poster design techniques to increase the visibility of PSAS.
Deputy Chief Senior Librarian PSAS, Miss Haslina Abu Seman in her opening speech encourages various technologies to be used at PSAS. Google Space is expected to be able to help better collaboration among PSAS staff. The invited speaker from Infocomm Development Centre UPM (iDEC), Information Technology Officer Ts. Saiful Ramadzan Hairani and Mr. Mohd Faiz Mazlan has guided PSAS staff theoretically and practically in the use of Google Space which can be used as a more effective collaboration space. Various methods and features of Google Space were enlightened to the participants such as Task, Chatbot and sync to Google Calendar.
The poster design session using Canva application in the second session has successfully unearthed the talent and creativity of the participants in producing various promotional materials. The participants were really excited about the explanation and simple techniques of poster design that can be done more easily. Among the final products produced are Salam Ramadhan greeting posters, product promotion posters and UPM's corporate signature.
