Reference Services are provided to library users to support the information needs in learning, teaching and research. The services include consultation services on the library collections, use of library materials and guidance on various types of information that can be obtained from various sources. Users can use this service by going to the library in individually or in group, via email, phone, WhatsApp or social media.
This service is divided into three categories:
- Reader's Advisory Desk
The service starts from 9.00 am until 5.00 pm and it is managed by the Assistant Librarians, Reference Division. Users can ask questions directly to the staff at the Reader's Advisory Desk. - Liaison Librarian
To seek consultation services in searching for the relevant information, users can contact Faculty Liaison Librarians at the Reference and User Education Division, Branch Libraries, as well as Research Librarians at the Research Services Division. - Online Chat
Users will be able to communicate with a Librarian or Librarian Assistant through “Ask a Librarian” (https://tawk.to/psaschat) chatting platform for immediate response on enquiries about the library and their information needs. The chatting platform is available during office hours.
