- To introduce various types of library collections, services and facilities to cater the information needs
- Online Public Access Catalogue (KOHA WebOPAC)
- To guide users on how to search printed and non-printed materials in the library collection
- To learn on how to check patron record
- To learn on how to perform online reservation and renewal
- Information Search Strategy
- To educate users on how to apply the strategic searching skills effectively
- To explore various information sources provided by Library and others
- To critically evaluate information and its sources
- Online Databases
- To learn on how to search for information using online databases subscribed by UPM
- Mendeley : Basic
- To learn on how to use Mendeley in organizing and managing citations and references
- Turnitin (Instructors & Students)
- To learn on how to use Turnitin in order to check the paper authenticity
- To avoid plagiarism among UPM community
- Citation Indexed Journal (CIJ)
- To check the journal status indexed in Scopus, Journal Citation reports (JCR) and Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
- To identify the journal rankings and metrics
- To learn on how to use journal finder for searching suitable journal
